This exhibition marks the culmination of "Double Passport—Packing 'Myself' in a Suitcase," a three-year international touring contemporary art exhibition connecting Münster, Germany; Kaunas, Lithuania; and Nishiaizu, Japan. Centered on contemporary art, the exhibition brings together diverse genres including painting, video, 3D video, AI photography, installation, and performance. Participating are Japanese artists based in Germany and German artists based in Japan, whose works reflect the perspectives they have cultivated over many years in different cultures, as well as their deep connections with Japan. The works explore themes such as "movement," "memory," "identity," and "cultural boundaries," using digital and analog technologies to present a space for dialogue that transcends national and linguistic boundaries.

本展は、ドイツ・ミュンスター、リトアニア・カウナス、そして日本・西会津をつなぐ、3年にわたる国際巡回現代美術展「ダブルパスポート―『私』をスーツケースにつめて」の締めくくりとして開催されます。本展は現代美術を軸に、絵画、映像、3D映像、AI写真、インスタレーション、パフォーマンスなど多彩なジャンルが交差します。ドイツに拠点を置く日本人作家、日本に拠点を置くドイツ人作家が参加し、長年にわたり異文化の中で築いた視点と、日本との深い結びつきを反映させています。作品は「移動」「記憶」 「アイデンティティ」 「文化的境界」などを主題に、デジタルとアナログ技術を用いながら、国や言語を超えた対話の場をご紹介いたします。
